Walking Again

[He has] broken the unspoken rules of an environment shaped by the car: the act of walking was creating a more human geography.

Sorry to return to my Escapological obsession with walking, but this interview with Will Self implicitly (and to an extent, explicitly) sums up a lot of what I like about it.
